Jane Austen was born #onthisday in 16th December 1775 A.D. and died in 1817, 18th July. She was an English novelist and best known for her six major novels, which interpreted and cirque commentary of the British gentry during the 18th century. Austen plots are usually directed at exploring dependence for women on marriage while pursuing the social standing and economical stability.

Her works were critiqued and widely regarded as novels of sensibility of the second half of 18th century, which eventually became 19th century reality. Major works of publication, sense and sensibility in 1811 A.D., pride and prejudice 1813 A.D., Mansfield park 1814 A.D., and Emma in 1815 A.D.
