Thomas Johan Seebeck was born 9th April 1770 A.D. and died #onthisday 10th December 1831 A.D.

He was a Baltic German physicist who, in 1821 A.D., discovered something important, the Thermoelectric effect.

His family background was that he was born into a wealthy Baltic German merchant family, and received an education and medical degree in 1802 A.D. at the University of Gottingen, but preferred to study physics.

In the year of 1821 A.D. Thomas discovered the thermoelectric effect which is a junction dissimilar metal produces an electric current when exposed to the temperature gradient.
