Thomas Hobbes was born 5th April 1588 A.D. and died #onthisday 4th December 1679 A.D.
He was an English philosopher and considered one of the first founders of modern political philosophy.
Hobbes’s best remembered for his book in 1651A.D known as the Leviathan, which states that the social contract theory which served as a setting stone later to be known as Western political philosophy.
He covered many other topics such as fields of history, geometry, jurisprudence, the physics of gases, ethics, theology and even general philosophy. Hobbes understanding of the humans as being a motion and matter, which obeying the political laws of motions and matter, and upon his account of human nature as self-interested cooperation ad the political communities based on the idea of “Social Contract” this one of the main topics and arguments of political philosophy.
