Alexander Farnese was born 27th August 1545 A.D. and died #onthisday 3rd December 1592 A.D. He was the Duke of Parma, Castro and Piacenza from the years of 1586-1592 A.D. and then the governor of the Spanish Netherlands from the years of 1578-1592 A.D. Alexander was best remembered for his successful campaigns that he took part in during the 1578-1592 A.D. against the Dutch revolt, in which he captures the main cities south which is Belgium today, and being able to return back the control of Catholic Spain.

His talents were many, a strategist, field commander and organizer.
