William II was born in December 1153 A.D. and died #onthisday 11th November 1189 A.D. and was remembered as the Good King of Sicily between 166-1189 A.D.
He was an interesting character, Lacking a military enterprise, secluded and pleasuring love, whilst he kept himself alone in his palace life at Palermo.
William’s reign was marked by ambition foreign policy and changing diplomacy.
He was a Champion of the papacy and in a secret league with the lombard cities to help defy the common enemy, who was Frederik I Barbarossa.
In Dante divine comedy he places William II in paradise. William was remembered as a good many decades after. Was not for the characters more that of the internal problems plagued his father reigns and many warseruptedd of his successors.
