Simeon the Proud was born #onthsiday 7th November 1316 A.D. and died in 27th April 1353 A.D. He was the prince of Moscow and Grand Prince of Vladimir. Simeon manages to keep his father’s political aim which, focused on increasing the power and prestige of his state.
He was also marked by a regular military and political campaign against the Novgorod Republic and Lithuania.
His relationship with his neighbor’s the Russian principle states remained peaceful, at most Simeon managed to stay out of affairs and conflicts amongst the subordinate princes.
Simeon only went to war if he had to and as the last result. There was a quiet period for Moscow which was ended by the Black Death that claimed the lives of Simeon and his sons in 1353 A.D.
