Magnus Olafsson was born 1073 A.D. and died #onthisday 24th August 1103 A.D.
He was king of Norway as Magnus III from 1093 A.D. until his death.
Magnus’ reign was a brutal and aggressive military campaign and conquest, partiality in the Norse-dominated parts of the British Isles and Ireland. He managed to extend his rule into the Kingdom of the Isles and Dublin.
He sought to re-establish the Norwegian influence around the Irish Sea. Magnus had a decent reign with many battles and troubles of expanding the Norwegian kingdom overseas …
