Margaret Polo “Countess of Salibury” was born #onthisday 14th August 1473 A.D. and died 27th May an English Peeress. She was the daughter of George Duke of Clarence whose brothers were King Edward IV and Richard III.
Margaret was one of the two women during the 16 century to be a Peeress in her own right without a title provided by her husband. She was one of the surviving members of the Plantagenet dynasty after the wars of the roses, however, she was executed in 1541 A.D. at the command of Henry VIII. Henry was the son of her First country Elizabeth of York.
