Guilaume Du Fay was born #onthisday 5th August 1397 A.D. and died 27th November 1474 A.D.
He was a Franco-Flemish composer of the early renaissance.

Guilaume was a central figure in the Burgundian School and was regarded by some of his contemporaries as the leading composer during Europe in the mid 15th century. His unique and complex use of the Motet “Nuper rosarum flores” which was influential in the musical ideas of artists during the early Renaissance period.
