The battle of Dyrrachium was #onthisday in history 10th July 48 B.C. and it was Caesar’s civil war in the area of the city known as Dyrrachium which is now known as Albania. The battle was with Julius Caesar and the army led by Gnaeus Pompey with the backing of the majority of Roman Senate.
This battle was a victory for Pompey however it was not a decisive one. When the battle proceeded to the Battle of Pharsalus which was an important battle in the civil war.
