Ann Radcliffe was born #onthisday 9th July 1764 A.D. and died 7th February 1823 A.D. Ann was an English Author and a pioneer of Gothic novel.

Ann’s style was romantic and even had vivid descriptions of long travel scenes and landscapes and even with the gothic element, used the supernatural.

Ann’s technique allowed her to describe “the explained supernatural” which was the final element of which her gothic novel achieved respectively in 1790s.
