Saint Goar of Aquitaine was born in the year of 585 A.D. and died #onthisday 6th July 649 A.D.

He was a priest and Hermit of the seventh century. Saint Goar was offered a position of Treir but prayed to be excused from the position to be bishop.

He then died from an overwhelming of fever. Remembered for his piety and also as a miracle-worker. A patron of the Saint innkeepers, Vine growers, and Potters.
