Xiahou Dun died #onthisday in history 13th June, he was a military general serving under the famous warlord known as Cao Cao in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.

Xiahou only served for a few months under the Cao Cao successor, Cao Pi. He was regarded as one of the most trusted generals of Cao Cao, and Xiahou Dun even aided the warlord in his campaign against Liu Bei, Sun Quan and Lu Bu.

He lost his left eye by an arrow in a battle against Lu Bu in the late 190’s, which later gained him the nickname “Blind Xiahou”.. Which there was a romanticised of a warrior with one eye in the 14 century.
