Toghon Temur was born 25th May 1320 A.D. and died #onthisday 23rd May 1370 A.D.

He was the son of Khutughtu Khuan Kusala who ruled as the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty.

Apart from the emperor of china, he was also considered the last Khagan of the Mongol Empire, which was a division of the empire at the start of the Yuan Empire.

In the last ten years of his reign, the Yuan was overthrown by the Red Turban Rebellion, this led to the establishment of the Ming Dynasty. Although Mongols still remained in control of Mongolia.
