Leo VI also called the Wise was born in 19th September 866 A.D. and died #onthisday in history 11th May 912 A.D. and  was a Byzantine Emperor 886-912 A.D.

He was the second ruler of the Macedonian Dynasty, he was a well read person and also leading epithet.

During the Reign of Leo VI the empire had seen some military defeats in the Balkans against the Bulgarians and also the Arabs in Sicily and Aegean sea.

The remembrance of his reign, saw the formal ending of the discontinuation of several ancient roman institutions such as the Roman Consul and Senate.
