Andre Nassena was born #onthisday 6th May 1758 A.D. he was a French Military commander during the Napoleonic Wars and a Revolutionary. Andre was one of the original Eighteen Marshals of the Empire which was created by the Napoleon.

Many of Napoleon’s generals were trained by some of the best European and French academics but Massena was one the greatest without the benefit of the normal formal Education.

Whilst the Noble Ranks had their education due to their privilege and had it easier going through promotion, Massena rose through the ranks of low Origins through up prominence, and Napolean saw him as one the greats of the military empire.

Throughout the military career, he was equaled by few commanders in the European history.
