Yi Sun-Sin was born #onthisday in history 28th April 1545 A.D. and died December 16th 1598 A.D. Yi was an important Naval commander and had great victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin war in Joseon dynasty. He was well respected for his great example and code of conduct from on and off the battlefield, not only from Koreans but also Japan’s admirals as well. Some military historians have placed General Yi Sun-Sin was on the same level as Admiral Horatio Nelson because of his great undefinable record against all the crazy odds in naval battles in history.
