Edward de Vere the 17th Earl of Oxford in 12th of April 1550 A.D. and died 24th June 1604 A.D. he was an English Peer and Courtier during the Elizabethan era.

Oxford was the heir to the second oldest Earldom in the kingdom and a court favorite of the time. Edward was a patron to the arts, he was also noted by his peers and contemporaries for his lyric poetry and court playwright, because of his violent temperament and recklessness. He lost all courtly responsibilities and governmental responsibilities that contributed to his estate.
