Stephen IV was born 1133 A.D. and died #onthisday 11th April 1165 A.D. he was the King of Croatia and King of Hungary when he was on the throne between 1163 A.D. – 1165 A.D. Stephen’s father was Bela II of Hungary when he conspired against his brother, Geza II and exiled from Hungary in the summer of 1157 A.D.

He first sort refuge in the Holy Roman Empire but did not receive any support from Frederick I.

After a while he moved to the Byzantine Empire where he married the niece of Emperor Manuel I Komenous who was Maria Komnene; he also converted to Orthodox Church.
