James Sarsfield Mitchell was born #onthisday January 30th 1864 A.D. and died in July 3rd 1921 A.D.

He was born in Tipperary which is Ireland and he was an athlete who represented Ireland in the United States in 1904 A.D. in the summer Olympics. Micheal was a part of a group called New York Athletic Club at the games which was held at St Missouri. The weight he threw was 56 LB, and he won a bronze medal, and then he threw a hammer in which he placed fifth and his last discus throw event he had finished sixth. He was a part of a group of Irish-Americans who were known as Irish Whales.
