Yazdegerd I was the fourteenth Sassanian king of Persia who ruled from 399 A.D. until 402 A.D. he was the son of Shapur III. He succeeded the throne of Sassanian’s through the assassination of his brother Bahram IV in 399 A.D. where ruled for twenty one years until his death #onthisday 21st of January 420 A.D.
The Rule of Yazdegerd I was largely peaceful and uneventful.. The king was remembered as a peaceful era. There was cordial relationships between the Eastern Roman Empire and Persia even between the Western Roman Empire.
