Constantine XI Dragases Palaiologos was born on 8th February 1405 A.D. and died on 29th May 1453 A.D. He was the last reigning Byzantine Emperor and member from the Palaiologosdynastyy from 1449 A.D. he ruled until his death in the battle at the fall of the Constantinople.

Constantine’s death in itself became a legendary figure in Greek folklore in the “Marble Emperor” that they believed Constantine would wake up one day and recover the fallen empire and Constantinople from the Ottomans. The Mark of his death ended the Roman Empire, which had continued in the east for 977 years after the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

He would always be remembered as the emperor who protected his city and the empire to the end and didn’t give up…
