Jacopo Carucci was born in May 24th, 1494 A.D. and died #onthisday January 2nd, 1557 A.D. he was also known as Pontormo, he was an Italian Mannerist painter and a portraitist from the Florentine School. Pontormo’s works were represented with an interesting stylistic shift from the calm perspective regularity which was the general character of the art of the Floretine renaissance.

He was famous for using his type of twinning pose, coupled with ambiguous art perspective, which was often seen in his figures float in an odd environment and forces of gravity’s odd way.
