William Ewart Gladstone was born #onthisday 29th December 1809-19 A.D. and died May 1898 A.D. Gladstone was a British Liberal and at an earlier time, a conservative politician. His career span over sixty years he served as Prime Minster four different times, in 1868-74, 1880-85, February-July 1886 and 1892-92 A.D. more than any other person. William served as chancellor of the Exchequer four times. Gladstone was the oldest prime minister in history and resigned the final time at the age of 84 years old.

Entering into the parliament for the first time in 1832 A.D. Gladstone served at the start as a High Tory and then cabinet of Robert Peel.

Gladstone was remember as a famous Orator and for his religiosity, liberalism and his rivalry with the conservative leader of Benjamin Disraeli, he even had poor relations with Queen Victoria.
