Omar Khayyam was born 18th May 1048 A.D. and died on 4th December 1131 A.D. he was a Persian astronomer, Mathematician, Philosopher, Poet, he was considered one of the influential philosophers and great thinkers of the Middle Ages.

He wrote many treatises on mechanics, geography, astronomy and mineralogy. Born in an area known as Nishapur in northeastern Persia, at a young age he moved to the Samarkand to obtain more knowledge and education. He was Regarded as one of the major mathematicians and astronomers of the Islamic golden age. Omar also wrote numerous works on important treatises on algebra, included geometric methods and solving cubic equations.
