#Onthisday in history the treaty of Andelot was signed at Andelot-Blancheville in 587 A.D. between the Queen Brunhilda of Austrasia and King of Guntram of Burgundy. These were based on, terms of agreement that Brunhilda would agree, Guntram would adopt her son Childebert II as the successor and ally himself with Childebert against the revolting lords. Gregory of Tour wrote in his book “Historia Francorum” that the thirteenth year of Childebert, who went on to the embassy of the king, Metz-Chalon to meet Guntram.
