Mary of Guise was born #onthisday 22nd November 1515 A.D. and died on 10th June 1560 A.D. she was the Queen of Scots between the years of 1538-1542 A.D. she was the second wife of King James V. The mother of Mary queen of the Scots and served as Regent of Scotland during the ruling of her daughter 1554-1560 A.D.

Mary was from Lorraine, she was from the House of Guise, which had an important rule during the 16-century French Politics.

The main goal of her close alliance between the Scottish and French Catholic nation was to be catholic and independent of England. At the end she failed because of her death the Protestants took control of Scotland and joined with her own blood grandson creating the Union of the crowns many years later.
