Malcolm was born in the year of 1031- but died #onthisday in history 13th November 1093 A.D. he was the king of the Scots from 1058-1093 A.D. Later years he had a nickname such as “Great Chief.”

Malcolm III had a long reign which lasted for 35 years. which was from Scot-Norman age.

His domains were not the full territory of modern day Scotland. The areas controlled by the King of the Scots didn’t change much because of the limits set by Malcolm II until the 12th century. Malcolm III fought the rights of Scotland the succession against the kingdom of England.

The goals were to have a conquest of the English Earldom of Northumbria but consequently the advance down southwards didn’t happen.

His main achievement was the creation of a house which would rule Scotland for many years.
