Henry Percy the 1st Earl of Northumberland 4th Baron of Percy was born #onthisday in history 10th November 1341 A.D.-20th February 1408 A.D. died. The son of Henry de Percy, 3rd Baron Percy who was the descendant of Henry III of England. His mother was Mary of Lancaster who was the daughter of Henry, 3rd Earl of Lancaster, and son Edmund, Earl of Leicester and Lancaster, who was the son of Henry III.

Henry Percy was a follower of Edward III of England who held a high office, which was the administration of Northern England. Henry at a young age was made Warden of the Marches in Scotland 1362 A.D.

In the year of 1403 A.D. the Percy’s turned against the house of Henry IV in favour of Edmund Mortimer, 5th Earl of March which conspired with Owain Glyndwr against Henry. There was a Tripartite Indenture which was signed by all three parties, this lead to the dividing of England amongst themselves.
