Stefano Franscini was born #onthisday in history 23rd October 1796 A.D. and died on July 19th, 1857 A.D. he was a Swiss politician and statistician. Franscini was a member of the Swiss Federal Council that was elected in 1848 A.D. and first native Italian speaking federal councillor.

He was with the liberal radical party of Switzerland. During his time in the office in department of home affairs.
