Publius Vergilius Marco was born in 15th October 70 B.C. and died #onthisday in history 21st September 19 A.D. he was remembered as Vergil he was a famous ancient Roman poet of the Augustan era. Remembered from three major works such as Epic Aenied, Eclogues and Georgics, There was a collection of minor poems as well.

In the Ancient Classic Rome he was regarded as one of Rome’s greatest poets. The works of Aenied was seen as an epic tale in Ancient Rome and even in the present day. This tale is modelled much like homers ilad.

The works of Virgil has influenced the western literature in many ways, such as the most notably Dante’s Divine Comedy.
