The Ambrosian Iliad is a very important illuminated manuscripts of the original of the Iliad of Homer.

The manuscript is thought have been made and produced in the historic city of Constantinople it was created roughly between the 5th or the early 6th-century A.D. around the dates of 493 A.D. and 508 A.D.. However this was developed by Ranuccio Bandinelli.

This is one of the oldest illustrated manuscripts and what is so interesting about this is that it was only a surviving portion of the copy from the antiquity period. One of the most important Greek texts and manuscripts in history.

There are believed to be various scenes in the manuscript showing legendary tales in history and some historical sources from the past.
