Aurelian was born #onthisday in history 9th September 214 A.D. and died on October 274 A.D. he was remembered as a Roman Emperor from the years of 270-75 A.D.  Aurelian was born in humble and good circumstances he rose through the ranks of a military career to eventually become an Emperor. Through his career he defeated the Alammani in a devastating and chaotic war. Even though he also defeated many enemies such as the Vandals, Goths, Sarmatians, Carpi and the Juhungi. He revived the Eastern Empire from the conquest of the Palmyrene Empire in 273 A.D. He conquered the Gallic empire in the west and aided in reuniting the empire.

In his legacy he was seen as an important figure in ending the Roman Empire crisis of the third century he was regarded as the “restorer of the world”.
