Battle of Kulikovo was fought #onthisday in history 8th September 1380 A.D. between the armies of Golden Horder under the command of Mami from various Russian Principalities united under one  commander the Prince of Dmitri of Moscow. The battle was at Kulikovo field which was won by Dmitri.

Even though the victory didn’t end the Mongol domination over the Russians it was widely seen as the turning point of when the Muscovites rose to power, and which eventually lead to the Muscovite independent to start the history of Russia.

The figures of the Russians are around 30,000 -60,000 vs the Mongolian blue horde varies from 30,000 to 80,000.
