#Onthisday in history Giovanni Paolo was born 17th June 1691 A.D. and died 21st October 1765A.D. He was a famous painter and architect of his time. He worked in Rome but known for the “Vedutisti” the View of painters. As a painter, he was most prominently known for his vistas of Rome, which took particular interest in the Roman antiquities. Some of his most famous works were his view on the interior of the Pantheon. His works are on famous ruins and buildings in Rome, so for this, he has an interesting past of painting and even painted the Pope Benedict XIV.
