Onthisday in history 4th June 1615 A.D. the siege of Osaka the forces under the Tokugawa Ieyasu take the Castle inOsaka, Japan and was also commonly known as Osaka no Jin. This was a series of battles undertaken by the Tokugawa shogun against the Toyotomi clan, which ended in the clans destruction.

This was in two periods from the winter campaign and summer campaign which lasted from 1614-1615 A.D. which put the siege to an end and the last major armed opposition to the Shogunates establishment, the end of the conflict sometimes referred to Genna Armistice.
