#Onthisday in history Hugh of Cluny was born  May 13, 1024 – April 28, 1109 In his life he was the Abbot of cluny, he some times referred as the great, he was one of the most influential leads and one most important and influential monastic order in the medieval era.

Hugh build the third Abbey church in Cluny and it remained one of the largest structures in Europe and many centuries, With the funds provided by the Ferdinand I of Leon. The important driving force behind the Clunaic Monastic movement which was during the 11 century.
