#Onthisday in History in a groovy way 5th May: 1260.A.D.– Kublai Khan becomes ruler of the Mongol Empire, he was born in the year of September 23rd 1215 A.D. and died on February 18th 1294 A.D. he was the fifth Khagan of the Mongol emperor from the year of reigning 1260 A.D. until 1294 A.D. even though it was only part of a division of the Empire. He later founded the dynasty known as “Yuan in China from the conquest in 1271 A.D. and he ruled as the first Emperor of Yuan until the year of his death 1294 A.D. how groovy.
He was the fourth son of Tolui and the grandson of Genghis Khan, he also succeeded his elder brother known as Mongke as Khan in 1260 A.D. But later he defeated his younger brother Ariq Boke in the “Toluid Civil war which lasted until 1264 A.D. This point was showing the dis-unity of the Empire, but the power of Kublai showed his power. In the year of Kublai established the Yuan Dynasty which controlled parts of Mongolia, China, and Korea. While Kubali was the first non-native emperor to conqueror all of China.
