Michelangelo 6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564). He was a famous Italian , painter, sculptor poet and an engineer of the “High renaissance” who had a lot of influence over the development of western art. He is considered to be one of the greatest living artists during his life time, ” ever since then he has been described as “one of the greatest artists of all time”. However he had made a few forays beyond his art, but his versatility and unique style of artwork took high disciplines, often a contender of the title of “Archetypal Renaissance man” along with the fellow Italian artist known as Leonardo da Vinci.

Michelangelo has many works of painting, architecture and sculpture which rank among the most famous in existence. Even though the amount of interest he had outweighs his sheer Volume, he is one of the best documented artists of the 16 century.

Some of his best known works are peita and David. He also created the two most important frescoes in history thew Ceiling of the Sistine chapel in Rome and the last judgement on the alter wall
