1466A.D – #Onthisday in #history Elizabeth of #York 11 February 1466 – 11 February 1503) She was the Queen consort form the year of 1485 until her death, Elizabeth of York was the wife of Henry VII she was the first Tudor queen. Her father was Edward IV and the niece of Richard III and married as the following Henry’s at the Battle of Bosworth which end the wars of roses, She was the mother of the Henry VIII.

Her marriage seemed to be a successful one, however many of her children she also had the notable Prince Arthur of Wales who died at 15 in 1502. and her three other children had also died, she seemed to play little part in the political theater, and finally her son Henry VIII her only surviving heir became king.
